| Meditation is a technique to relaxed yourself where you are conscious about the things whereas hypnosis is a technique where one is unconscious about the things and he don't what is happening around him. |

| Is it true that the smarter you are, the easier you are to hypnotize? I hear that all the time and am just wondering. |

In fact hypnosis and meditation are different states. Although Wendi is correct that some meditations attempt to clear your mind of thoughts (whether this is even a goal that makes sense neurologically is debatable), there are many meditative states that attempt to increase mindfulness and even bodily awareness. For instance, [url=http://chelucero.com/meditation/110-hours-of-meditation-in-10-days-what-i-learned/Vipassana[/url] meditation includes attentive and focused scanning of the body. No elimination of thought is presented as a goal.
Having done hundreds of hours of both meditation and hypnosis, my experience is that hypnosis and meditation are two very different disciplines representing and utilizing entirely different states of mind. _________________ Experienced clinical hypnotist specializing in hypnosis and pain control (including chronic pain therapy). |
