I would work on the ecology of such changes before doing anything as there may be unforeseen and unintended consequences of increasing a person's level of honesty.

It may be important to increase the client's flexibility by allowing dishonesty where needed. This reminds of a case where Milton Erickson healed a clients menstrual pains 9which were so strong that at times stopped her from going to work) but allowed to have these symptoms if necessary. Erickson wrote that in fact a few months later it was necessary for her to have the symptom in order to get out of doing something (a kind of dishonesty???).

As far as the method used I find Time-Line Therapy and other regression work to a time before the excessive dishonesty started a good starting point.
