Customer Appreciation Day
Something is shakin around here and we want to share it with you.
Many of you know that wendi.com has been growing like a weed lately. Just one year ago I was doing this business in my garage with the help of Jannel suffering through the freezing cold of winter and the blistering hot summer. She believed in what we were doing and knew that this was a good thing.
We moved into a real office in July, Our little staff grew, and the walls groaned, so we moved again in October to our expansive and luxurious location in Eldorado Hills, California. ( By expansive I am talking a whopping 650 square feet) We have a cozy crew of 8, some of who seem to think that it is getting crowded in here. Did I tell you that we have waterfalls and a putting green? I will send pictures next week. Do we have time to putt? Ha.

Today we are leasing an additional 2000 square feet and getting ready to invite two new very important members to our staff. (I will announce that as soon as I have them sufficiently tied down and hypnotized to do my bidding) Our cozy little crew will get to stretch out, have new computers and desks and fresh air to breathe. It is all very exciting.... and a little mind boggling. OK, it is very mind boggling.
This all brings me to my point which is all about YOU. You, our very much loved and valued customer. We get so many wonderful letters and phone calls of appreciation for what we are doing, and it is time to say thank you. A business is only as good as it’s customers and the value that is created for you.. Abundance is realized by knowing that minds are opened, lives are changed, hearts are healed and wisdom is shared.
Our success can only be measured by your happiness. And our commitment has always been to your happiness first and foremost.
And sometimes, we screw up. We make mistakes and realize that there are errors in our ways and always try to blame Bob. Good natured, easy going Bob, who is always smiling is always happy to take the rap for the mislabeled CDs, is probably plotting his revenge.
When you hear a sudden gasp, followed by a shriek (the computer just blew up, heeeelp) we go to Sean who is our problem solver and techie who knows more than most people about everything… and he calmly fixes the problem, never revealing what actually went wrong or who screwed it up. We adore him in his infinite wisdom. And we respect him because he is 6’5” and he can kick our ass.
Jannel, who has reappeared, much to our delight, is now in charge of wholesale marketing. I can guarantee you that no matter what is rattling her cage, she has a smile bigger than anybody.
Joyce can be seen shaking her head in dismay at the mess we all make. She keeps us organized, giggles at all our crazy customers on the phone (you know who you are) and procures emergency supplies when we have forgotten to order something. You’re out of ink? Again?
Camille is doing her dangdest to keep the books, making sense out of chaos. Lucky for me she has a very understanding and forgiving nature. If you could see my Sagittarian accounting methods you would understand. I just bow down before her as often as I can.
Bethani- (yes she had to change her name to end in i to work here) is a magnificent woman. She’s the smartest chick on the block, and she can survive on NO sleep longer than any living mammal. Congratulate her next time you get her on the phone. She just graduated magna cum laude - she is now a psychologist and if she says you are nuts, you really are.
And of course there is me, hanging out trying to look busy. I still haven’t figured out what my job description is. But I do know I am happy and grateful that the goddess of abundance has graced us with a rapidly growing business with extraordinary customers who make our lives interesting. (some of you are far more interesting than others… in that special sort of way) But, that is what we are here for. Heal, inspire, create, teach, and of course laugh at your emails when appropriate. Truth is, many of your emails touch us deeply, warm our hearts and make us grateful to walk with you on your path for a while.

Riley, our CD stomper and assembler, works for us when he is not flying through the air propelled by a 4 foot rubber ball. He gives Bethani and I lessons on the proper use of large rubber balls. Apparently we are not utilizing the full potential of our balls. (read the previous newsletter titled GIRLS WITH BALLS)
